Working

I have been lax in posting but I am working on a really big job and it is taking all my time to make my deadline.

I have so many things going on in my head I don't know what to write about first.

I hope to post again in a week!

Maybe on my birthday!

An Odd Occurance with White Mothers of Children of Color

I guess I should say, white mothers with children who are half black.

This has come up many times in my life. A white mother, with a bi-racial child will innocently ask, "Will they get darker?"

It always makes me angry. It makes me want to slap them...hard. I have never understood these women who marry black men and bear their children, suddenly seem concerned with how dark their child will become.

They don't understand there is no clear cut answer to that. But yes many of them will become darker. Some will remain light. Some may look bi-racial, some will look black.

WTF?

You married a black man, why the hell should it matter how dark your child is? It's too late to worry about that, no matter what-in society's eyes, their children WILL NOT BE WHITE.

If they wanted white babies, they should have had them with white men.

I cannot say much more on this because it makes me sick to my stomach. Truly.

To hell with you women. I just pray all your kids are the same shade lest you treat the lighter skinned ones better than the darker skinned ones.
